Gryphon is focused on the CEEMEA (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa) emerging markets region. Its core countries are the six largest in the area: Egypt, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Ukraine. Together they have a population of some 405m, against the EU’s 490m. Average GDP per capita in Gryphon’s six key countries is roughly one third that of the EU ($10,250 compared with $29,900) but grows at almost double the rate (6.2% compared with 3.2%).

It is in these dynamic economies that Gryphon and its partners have deep, longstanding networks of trusted relationships, in many cases built over several decades. These networks produce a high volume of proprietary dealflow from among the emerging entrepreneurs and business leaders in Gryphon`s target countries.
